Today's page is brought to you by the letter B, B for Bricks...
This page, I'm about 75% happy with it, happy with the inking and pannels and whatnot, not too sure on the colouring, mostly because I was experimenting again (sorry). Also I am now using a textured watercolour paper now, since I'm too poor to afford hot pressed, blurgh, it's difficult to ink on, verrry hard to get nice smooth lines all of a sudden.
Oh and, it is my birthday today! I think some of you got confused and thought my birthday was on the day I uploaded the most recent Gods Almighty strip, (last Sunday). So thank you for those early birthday messages I suppose haha C:
Anyway I'm 18, finally, so that's why there is a special early update for today! Wheeeee I hope you wet your pants with joy~
Happy B-day! Wow, 18 and you already draw and paint this well plus have good control of the technical aspects of the digital medium. This old man bows to you in respect.
The quality of the paper you are using can be a make or break on how the art turns out and your frustration level. I think your coloring is consistent. What type of watercolors are you using? The richness of the values suggest to me that you are using watercolor inks like Dr. Matins.
As to this page I think what may be making you only 75% happy is perhaps you need to change up the point of view and perspective a little bit. Most of the panels are either a close up or a medium close up shot so the reader is not getting a larger sense of the environment. Don't be afraid to experiment as that is one of the advantages of this type of venue. You are not having to answer to an editor or a publishing deadline so you are free to take chances. Toss in a silhouette perhaps every now and then instead of having to completely draw every detail. Play with alternating more with large and small panels. I think your stuff looks great and you know how to tell a story.
Ha, thankyou very much. Thanks for the advise too c: All these first pages are kind of experimental and just like "bloop bloop bloop making it up as I go along", but I will definitely try out your suggestions in the latest pages I'm working on C:
Every day a better day...
Every page a better page... And Strangerrr and Dangerrr...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
(If Cassie gets out of this with dry knickers
She'll deserve high praise indeed!)
Til hamingju með afmælið Bethany, may all your foes tremble in fear and drink all the mead!
Nice page.
Nice website-fiddling too, but what's happened to the rambly-explainy page?

But if I did that no one would take her seriously. Oh well she can just LOOK like she's pissing her pants :D
And I must say, I love those page titles of yours.
Page titles are the best to come up with C:
